How bad can Sam be?
I know Halloween is over but I have this in my mind ever since I looked into this character from Trick r Treat but I'll probably do a Thanksgiving related one till the end of the month.
Sam also known as Sammy or Ghost of Halloween or The Great Autumn Spirit but Sam's full name, Samhain, is pronounced as it is spelled, as opposed to the Celtic holiday's pronunciation "Sow-en". He is a demonic pumpkin-like creature, who enforces the rules and traditions of Hallowen, and should anybody break these conventions, he will show up in their presence and kill them.
Michael Dougherty created Sam when he was at New York University taking animation classes, originally creating him as an alter ego for himself. Another reason behind Sam's creation was to give Halloween an iconic figure, other seasonal holidays having such iconic figures (e.g. Christmas has Santa Claus and Easter having the Easter Bunny).

Even though Sam is the Halloween Icon and Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King I would imaging something they might have a disagreement (Jack would be more scaring and Sam would kill rule breakers) and something goes like this • Dr. Seuss' the Lorax (2012) - How Bad Can ... .
