Never one to shy away from a difficult discussion, Malcolm Harkins is someone who carries a lot of angst and usually has an axe to grind. Going into RSA, Malcolm has serious issues with the lack of leadership he is seeing in the cybersecurity industry. He says that while there is a lot of motion, that does not equate to a lot of progress. Malcolm Harkins (@protecttoenable) is the Chief Security and Trust Officer at cymatic reporting to the CEO and is responsible for enabling business growth through trusted infrastructure, systems and business processes. He has direct organizational responsibility for information risk, security and privacy policy. Previously, Harkins was Chief Security and Trust Officer at Cylance and Vice President and Chief Security and Privacy Officer (CSPO) at Intel. In that role, he was responsible for managing risk, controls, privacy, security and other compliance activities for Intel’s information assets, products and services.
