2016-05 Hawkwind - Thessaloniki (Greece) - Shot Down - with subtitles
The INDUSTRY KILLS channel has an excellent gig vid of the recent Hawkwind performance in Thessaloniki. Here's one track from that gig, and subtitled for those who wonder what the lyrics to "Shot Down" actually are.
This recording's notable for showing the 2016 Hawkwind interactions between Haz (bass) and Dave Brock. And it seems Niall Hone has been given licence to make a bit more noise in the electronics department. This could well be the best Hawkwind since 1981, in my not at all humble opinion. The song was written by Steve Swindells, btw... an active Hawk back in 1977 and 1978.
