Let's Try: Basashi
After a bike session with the friends we went to an izakaya in JR Nara Station. And we decided it was finally time for me to try 馬刺し(basashi) or Horse Sashimi for the first time.
I'd been wanting to do it for a long time but some of my usual haunts don't carry it. I've eaten some strange things while I've been here, and I'd say this might be top 5. HOWEVER its actually quite tasty and I would definitely do it again. I'd say it was better tasting than the Whale Sashimi. But more chewy.
