Mardi Gras and a Birthday
So Feb. 12th is my birthday. Just so happens that this year its Mardi Gras. So I figured I'd make a little video with some pictures and music from back home.
Everyone tends to think that Mardi Gras is what you see in the Girls Gone Wild videos from New Orleans. But thats not the case.
What you see in these pictures is a much better representative of Mardi Gras in Louisiana. Eunice and Mamou are two of the best places you could go if Mardi Gras was something you want to experience from an authentic stand point.
Parades, runs, chicken chasing, boucheries, music, and lots and lots of drinking.
