Whitey Bulger ended up on the FBI’s Most Wanted list after his escape from his 20 year crime spree in Boston. After having evaded the FBI for 16 years, Whitey Bulger was finally caught by the authorities on June 22, 2011 in Santa Monica, California. He had been living there under an assumed identity with his girlfriend, under the fake identities of Charlie and Carol Gasko.
From the notorious organized crime boss, having led the Winter Hill Gang in Boston from the late 1960’s until the mid 1990’s, Whitey Bulger was finally put behind bars. On October 30th, 2018 he was found bludgeoned to death by an inmate. A brutal end to a brutal life.
As a gangster who was infamous for his disregard of the law, he was finally put where he had belonged. But not before he had taken so many lives.
