Cutout/Stroke Effect Tutorial (After Effects)
A neat motion graphic effect that creates multiple, successive layers of strokes around an object. Similar to the way Video Copilot did the Stroke FX for text in AE.
A couple things to note that I forgot in the video:
1. I added a posterize effect to the top layer to make the image more cartoony.
2. I used the pan-behind tool to center the anchor point in the middle of the graphic before I started making duplicates for the fill layers. This makes the fill layers come out more even when you start expanding them
