In this video, the AELLCO team replaces a central air conditioning system with a new Midea ducted system in a two-story apartment on Guam.
This was not a simple replacement. The indoor air handler was installed above the staircase, hidden under a suspended ceiling in a very tight space. The outdoor condenser was located on the second-floor balcony, which made the job even more challenging.
To remove and install the outdoor unit, we had to use a crane to safely lift the equipment from the balcony. For the indoor unit, we used a rope-and-pulley lifting setup to lower the old air handler and raise the new one through the restricted stairwell area.
This project shows the replacement of a central ducted air conditioning system in a difficult-access location where careful planning, safe rigging, and professional HVAC installation were required to complete the job properly.
