In today's video, I'll cover the essentials of auto-save files and .BAK files. These file types are lifesavers when it comes to recovering valuable drawing data.
In this tutorial, I walk you through a practical example of creating and identifying.BAK files, which essentially is the previous version of your file.
I'll show you how to rename these .BAK files to a standard drawing file format (.DWG). The F2 key comes in handy for this.
Then we'll have a look at setting up the auto-save feature, including adjusting the auto-save and choosing a save time.
I'll also explain how to access and manage your auto-save directory, which not only stores auto-saved files but sometimes your backup files as well.
Lastly, I'll touch upon the significance of the.SV$ file, which represents your latest auto-saved file, and I'll show you again how to easily make this a DWG file.
