[Why Should You Care] Bangladesh student protests met with violence
As of 28 July 2024, over 210 deaths and thousands of injuries have been reported following student-led protests across #Bangladesh. The government has responded with excessive force, deploying military forces, shutting down universities, and imposing an 11-day internet blackout. What began as peaceful protests against the reinstated quota system have escalated into a nationwide call for #justice and accountability.
Peaceful protests should never be met with violence. FORUM-ASIA is always in solidarity with the students of Bangladesh in their fight for truth, accountability and justice.
