Augmented Reality Echography (Ultrasonography) with Real-time Markerless Probe Tracking
Demonstration of visualization system of cross section of echogram by using Augmented Reality. Echography (Ultrasonography) has been used in every field of medical diagnosis because of its safety and cost-effectiveness. However, the skill to recognize relationship between ultrasound probe and internal organ is required to acquire echogram. Therefore we have developed marker-less tracking system to recognize position/angle of ultrasound probe. We confirmed the usefulness of the system for unskilled physician.
