● Assumption Of Bohr's Theory :-
1.Atom consist of Positive charge at center is called as Nucleus .
2.The electrons revolve around the nucleus in a fixed circular path called as Orbit or Shell.,
3.Out of number of possible circular orbit around the nucleus , an electron can rotate only in a certain permitted orbit is called as stationary state.
4.Each stationary state is associated with a definite amount of energy is called as energy level.
5 The electrons in the energy level which are present nearest to the nucleus have lower energy,whether the electrons which are present at greater distance from the nucleus have higher energy.
6.The number of Bohr's possible orbit or energy level can be given by
mvr=(nh/2π).
Where,
m=mass of Electrons.
v=tangential velocity of Electrons in its orbit.
r=radius of Orbit.
h=planck's constant 6.62 *10^-34 joules-sec.
n=principle quantum number which can take only integral values 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc
Thus, "n" represents Orbit or Shell number
