We’re starting the twenty-eighth walkthrough gameplay of @HogwartsLegacy on PC!
If you want to know how to unlock the broom in Hogwarts Legacy, know that the Main Quest titled “The Flying Lesson” is the first step to take in order to start freely flying around on your broom and exploring the world of Hogwarts Legacy.
To begin, in order to access “The Flying Lesson” Quest, you must first complete the Main Quest “The Helm of Urtkot” (which becomes available after learning the Disarming Charm from Professor Hecat).
Like all the lessons you have completed so far, “The Flying Lesson” is a mandatory lesson that you must complete to progress in the game, and when you meet the necessary requirements, it will automatically appear in your quest list.
Generally, quests related to lessons are announced via Owl Post, so you will receive a letter from Madam Kogawa informing you of the mission. The lesson requires you to fly through every single wooden ring arranged in the courtyard: in the first part, you must fly through three wooden rings. The second part involves flying through a series of wooden rings placed around the Hogwarts grounds. In this second part, you will be guided by Everett Clopton: he will stop you after passing the last rings, suggesting you take a longer ride to explore Hogwarts from above on your broom.
After the ride, you’ll be brought back to the training field with the broom, where you will receive a reprimand from Madam Kogawa for straying too far. This concludes the Main Quest “The Flying Lesson,” at the end of which you do not obtain the broom you long for but gain the ability to purchase one.
Indeed, at the end of the lesson, you can interact with Everett Clopton, who, through his dialogue, suggests that your character buy their own broom, recommending a visit to Albie Weekes in Hogsmeade.
