We begin the twenty-sixth gameplay walkthrough of @HogwartsLegacy on PC!
The mission "Scrope's Last Hope" is one of the main quests in Hogwarts Legacy and is exclusive to Slytherin house students and will not be available in other Hogwarts houses.
To complete the mission, you must first find three hidden notes located outside the school. After finding the last note, you will have to meet Scrope himself. Eventually, the elf will ask you to explore a secret location...
Immediately after receiving a letter from Scrope, a marker will appear on the minimap indicating the location of the first note, which is in the beak of one of the four statues at the corners of the well. Following Scrope's suggestion, the second note is in the stone circle behind the bridge. This bridge is located immediately after the well, near which the first note was found. To collect the second note, you must climb onto the floating box and jump onto the stone ledge. The third note can be found in one of the pumpkins. You can descend to the pumpkins not far from the stone circle along a wide stone path. On the way down, you'll notice a small hut, known to us Harry Potter fans as Hagrid's hut. To find the hidden note, you must use the Revelio spell. The pumpkin with the third message is near the scarecrow, behind a stone wall. The message will indicate the meeting point with Scrope.
To meet the house elf, you must descend to the pier, located on the beach behind the hut. To continue the quest, you'll need to explore the nearby cave. First, however, you'll face a tough battle with five stone-crested Dugbogs.
Here are some tips for fighting them:
With a Cast Ancient Magic spell, you can throw several stones at the enemy.
Levioso temporarily immobilizes the enemy (only when attacking with its tongue).
Not all attacks can be blocked with the Protego spell, so the battle should be fought carefully and dodge in time.
Take refuge on the mountain plateaus to avoid direct attacks.
Once you've dealt with the Dugbogs, a little further on you'll notice a narrow passage inside the cave. Inside, you'll see a pedestal in the firelight, which you can interact with.
A passage will then open in the wall. Inside the secret room, on the table, you'll find Apollonia Black's diary.
