When Windows 3.0 was announced and released worldwide on May 22, 1990, it changed the tech world's perception of Microsoft's once unpopular operating system. It was the first Windows iteration of its kind to receive critical acclaim from its users and the technology press alike for its revamped user interface that laid the foundation for future Windows releases, and improved multitasking, both in Windows and DOS.
This video commemorates its thirtieth anniversary by serving as an install guide for the operating system, including enhanced graphics drivers, basic office applications and a popular collection of games called the Microsoft Windows Entertainment Pack, released that same year.
