Review Manjaro KDE 18.1.5 - Better than EVER!!
Hey Guys Its Nil and welome to HardCoerLinux,
Manjaro is often called a user-friendly Arch.I am well familiar with Arch Linux.It used to be my main OS in the past and aslo used Manjaro Linux for a while, So here is my views on Manjaro Linux kde 18.
1. Installaton
Installation is exactly the same as it has been for as long as I can remember so I'm not going to get into how it works.
‘Calamares’ is a very intuitive installer. It’s easy to use, doesn’t confuse the user with too many complex details
2. Frist Impressions
When you log in the first time, you are presented with a really good welcome screen.
Manjaro KDE edition provides a power-packed desktop experience. It comes with a distinctive look and feel and installed with the latest Manjaro tools, expect a versatile and feature rich desktop environment. And the linux distro offer users with options to customize the menus in various styles.
The interface is easy to use and simple and allows users to install new themes, applications and widgets quickly. But when compared to the Xfce edition, KDE is definitely eats up a lot of resources as you can see from the time taken to start the KDE edition.
It takes around 550MB memory to run a basic KDE edition in your desktop.
It also comes shipped with the latest Plasma 5.14 desktop along with the latest and updated KDE applications.
3. Default themes and Customization
Manjaro is just outstanding with its green theme. It is called Breath. It is really beautiful and default in Manjaro Linux.
There are other themes avalable installed in Manjaro kde, If you like to install more themes you can easyly install new themes using Get New Plasma Styles
option.
Kde Gives a lon of customization option build in it, which is pretty sgnificant for new users, In frist look kde is a very simple and elegent desktop but dgging it a
little more you will discover its complecity.
4. The Kernel
It comes with kernel 5.4.6-2-Manjao, if you want to cange kernel, that's a pice of cake in Manjaro Linux Simply search
of kernel option kde menu and a graphical kernel manager pop up..Then choce the kernel you prefer.
5. Greaphical Software Manager
Graphical software manager in manajro is very user friendly like any other user-friendly linux distrobuton in market, Its pretty straight forword as far use purpose and I personally Like it, beging a rolling release there will be a lots of update for manjaro, but in the I never had any problems in manjaro, because manajro delays package relases for stability purpose and its a big plus for me.
6. Conclusion
Overall, Manjaro Linux 18.0 is a simple and easy to use linux desktop environment that makes life easy for both beginners and advanced users.
