4 Types of breakable glass and a few ways how they are used! 💥
1. siliglass - Siliglass, or silicone glass is used in movies to look like broken glass but be safe to touch. It feels like brittle rubber. It's meant to look like broken glass shards but not be broken in view of the audience. It cannot be remelted into a new sheet, but it can be broken down to a small enough size to use as filler when making new pieces of siliglass.
2. Breakaway glass - made of piccotex and picco plastic this brittle clear plastic melts at highish temperatures and can be cast in to shapes. can be remelted a limited number of times.
3. isomalt glass- edible fake glass. isomalt is a sugar substitute that m expensive t melts clear and brittle. more than sugar but looks better/ less sticky.
4. sugar glass- sugar glass is fairly easy to make with easy to find ingredients but it stays sticky and sharp and gets melty/ moldy quickly and tends to get a slight caramel tint.
5. unfired slip clay made with a plaster mold and slip clay.! as long as it's poured thin enough, wonderful safe breakables.
