Captain Package Installer (From Linux Mint) Works On Debian.
Here I take a look at Captain the new Deb Package installer from Linux Mint. Which also works on Debian.
As well as being able to install downloaded Deb packages from the web.
It can also install open links to install software. Which is useful if you don't have any software center installed to open install links with.
Please note that Captain can only install links to packages that are already in your operating system's repositories. Any software you want to install that isn't in the package manager. You will have to download as a Deb package first. Then you can install with Caption. the same way you would with Gdebi.
