Into Dust Together ("Hey Kids" Animation)

Backstory time.
The main character's name is Riley and they use they/them pronouns!
In the year 2074, Riley is born and abandoned on the streets. At age 11 they are found by a group of slave traders and sold to an organization known only as "Glade."
Glade is a gladiatorial ring where the rich can pay to experience the raw horrors of one on one combat. Gladiators are slaves who are forced fight to their deaths. Anyone who refuses to punished harshly. It's run by a woman known as the Queen.
The Queen takes a special interest in Riley and decides to train them to become her own personal champion in the ring.
Despite the constant violence and killing, Riley tries to keep their humanity. They only kill when absolutely necessary, and when they do, they do so in the most humanely way. This gave them the nickname Cutthroat. They became widely popular for their strangely merciful fighting style and remained unbeaten for almost a decade.
That was until Glade introduced a new fighter named Jhin and her tiger companion, Rajah. Jhin was fierce and full of rage, able to hold her own against the best gladiators, even working her way up to a match with the Queen's Champion, Riley.
To the Queen's surprise, Riley wasn't able to defeat and kill Jhin, instead receiving a nearly fatal blow. Nearly at their end, Riley pleaded for help. But only Jhin could hear. Throwing away her need to survive, Jhin decided to help them escape.
The Queen was almost able to corner them, but with the help of a thief named Joel, they were able to hijack a ship and leave.
Eventually they would look for work and be hired as the crew for the Junebug.
