"Hi everyone, and welcome to another War Thunder video! Today, we're taking a look back at an old video I recorded more than two years ago, during the TailSpin event that was part of War Thunder's April Fools celebration. This event featured several cell-shaded vehicles and an event map with a unique visual style. In fact, cell shading was tied to the event map itself, meaning that any user-created missions set on the event map would also feature cell-shaded vehicles.
In this particular video, we're looking at one of the event vehicles, a massive airship that served as the airbase for the players. If one team managed to destroy the opposing team's airship, they would be victorious, much like in Realistic Air Battles. As you can see in the video, the airship was heavily defended by anti-aircraft guns, making it a formidable opponent. However, its underbelly was relatively vulnerable, with only a couple of AA guns providing protection.
In the video, I'm attempting to take down this airship using the BV238 as a gunship. This gives us a great opportunity to see the cell-shaded effects, including tracers, explosions, and fire. You can also catch a glimpse of the cell-shaded pilot models in the BV238's cockpit.
Thanks for joining me on this nostalgic trip back to the TailSpin event! I hope you enjoyed seeing the unique cell-shaded vehicles and the thrilling aerial combat. If you're interested in seeing more War Thunder content, be sure to subscribe to my channel and hit the like button on this video."
