🔍 Part 42: Adding variable seam allowance
To add more than one width of seam allowance to your pattern, cut a section away from your pattern outline using the scissor tool. Select the section using the direct selection tool, click object, path, offset path, define your seam allowance width, and click ok. Next, select your pattern outline, with the direct selection tool, click object, path, offset path, define a different seam allowance, and click ok.
Next, select both seam allowances, using the direct selection tool, click path finder and unite. Remove the inner line by selecting it with the direct selection tool then hit back space on your keyboard more than once.
Finally, join your existing pattern lines to complete your pattern.
