Wareologie Portable Parallel Bars™ Demo by VA Clinician
Wareologie is a proud recipient of the Veterans’ Health Administration Innovation Ecosystem Greenhouse Initiative.
Wareologie Portable Parallel Bars™ were initially designed through a call to action from skilled nursing clinicians to deliver therapy to quarantined residents. Further research indicates approximately 90 million therapy appointments are missed annually. This inspired our team to design mobile portable parallel bars that fold and have wheels to deliver ambulation therapy directly to the patient's bedside in hospitals, in-patient clinics, skilled nursing sites, and home healthcare.
We conducted numerous customer discovery interviews with VA subject matter experts (SME) from VHA Innovators Network (iNet) across the country to gain a deep understanding of barriers to physical therapy and device requirements. In February 2021, Wareologie pitched at the VHA iNet Makers Challenge and was awarded a Greenhouse Initiative contract.

Wareologie is thrilled to have this extraordinary opportunity to collaborate with clinicians and design a tool that improves millions of Americans' access to physical rehabilitation and recovery. We delivered 2 prototypes within a year and commercialized the revolutionary, FDA Class 1, 1st-to-market mobile device this fall '22.
