A decade of impact: the WFH Humanitarian Aid Program
In 2012, the President of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) issued a call to action, urging organizations to support the global community of individuals with inherited bleeding disorders through donations of treatment products and financial aid. In 2014, Biogen and Sobi responded with an unprecedented pledge of one billion international units (iUs) of factor concentrates to the WFH Humanitarian Aid Program. This bold commitment paved the way for other donors and partners to join the initiative. Now, ten years later, the profound impact of this donation on the effectiveness of the program and, consequently, on the quality of life for thousands of people with bleeding disorders worldwide can be clearly seen.
