At the infamous site next to In-N-Out (which was happily enjoyed afterwards) next to LAX, I experienced some awesome sights and sounds. One really cool thing that can be heard and felt is the wake or wind vortices that the planes produce. You can literally hear a tight spinning of air whip round and around. Each plane is a little different. Smaller commuter ones produce the tightest whipping and one actually sounded like whobbing echoes. It was like stellar sounding. Really interesting. The bigger planes shed a warm blast of air onto the ground which is fun to feel. Great place to check out and meet people.
