Flying into KLAX in a Cessna (VFR)
Had a unique opportunity as a GA pilot to fly into LAX. Aircraft used is a Cutlass which is a 172 retractable gear type airplane. The visibility was reported 4SM, and although the runway was not immediately in sight, we were VFR. The approach was done into the southern most runway (25L) around 1:00 pm.
It was really not as difficult as expected. We did call ahead and asked if flying in would be okay, and we obtained a thumbs up. Honestly a really fun opportunity that definitely does not happen for little GA pilots too often. We felt incredibly small once we got on the ground too
