Making Table In Blender 2.81 | How To Model Simple Coffee Table In Blender | Creating Glass Table
Here's how to model a simple coffee table in Blender and create a glass table:
Open Blender and delete the default cube by selecting it and pressing the "Delete" key.
Go to the "Add" menu on the left side of the screen and select "Mesh" - "Plane" to add a flat plane to the scene.
Select the plane and press "S" to scale it up to the desired size for your coffee table.
In the "Object" menu on the right side of the screen, click on "Shade Smooth" to smooth out the surface of the table.
To add thickness to the table, select the plane and press "E" to extrude it upwards. You can also adjust the thickness by scaling the newly created top face.
To create legs for the table, go to the "Add" menu and select "Mesh" - "Cylinder". Adjust the size and shape of the cylinder to create the desired leg shape.
Duplicate the leg by selecting it and pressing "Shift + D". Move the duplicated leg to another corner of the table.
To add a glass top to the table, select the top face of the table and press "Shift + D" to duplicate it. Then, press "P" and select "Selection" to separate the duplicated face into a new object.
With the new face selected, go to the "Object" menu and select "Shade Smooth" to smooth out the surface.
Go to the "Material" tab and create a new material for the glass. Under the "Surface" settings, change the "Base Color" to white and increase the "Transmission" value to make the glass more transparent.
Assign the glass material to the glass top object by clicking on the "Assign" button under the "Material" settings.
Finally, adjust the positioning and rotation of the legs and glass top as desired.
That's it! You now have a simple coffee table with a glass top in Blender.
