Luke is LIVE in our coffee roastery talking through the process of how we roast our single origin coffee like this months single from Ethiopia. To roast our coffee beans we use an IMF 30kg roaster from Italy which is a hot air roaster and the average roast usually takes 10-15 minutes depending on the type of bean and how we are roasting it.
This months single origin from Ethiopia comes from the Worka Sakaro 1 producers who are located in the Gedio / Yirgacheffe region. The coffee is from an indigenous heirloom variety which is grown at an altitude between 2,050 and 2,100 meters above sea level. The processing of this bean after it has been picked is a Carbonic Maceration process.
