This point of this video is to showcase the Onimaru and demonstrate how effective it is to kill the final boss.
The Onimaru is often missed by players of this game because of how cryptic it is to get. If you were to play the game normally without a walk-through or knowing the location of the Onimaru, it will definitely be missed as the location of it is extremely specific. The only mention of the Onimaru during the game is on completion of the weapon barterer side quest and even then, the information he gives you is still very cryptic. If you are able to decipher the barterer's message, you would then realise you would need to start a new game and use a specific item in a specific spot near the beginning of the game. It seems that the intention was to not allow the player to obtain the Onimaru in their first playthrough of the game if at all.
