Continuing our series on string functions, in PART 4 today, MM Technology introduces you to the REPT function.
Essentially, the REPT function allows you to repeat a character, text string, or number a specific number of times. While the syntax is incredibly simple, it is a "secret weapon" for data visualization without the need for complex charting tools.
Key use cases for REPT in this lesson:
📌 Rating Systems: Repeat symbols like stars (★) to create visual customer satisfaction ratings or employee rankings (e.g., 5 stars, 4 stars).
📌 Data Padding: Repeat leading zeros to standardize employee IDs or product codes of unequal lengths.
📌 In-Cell Progress Bars: Visually represent task completion percentages, helping viewers grasp progress at a glance.
