In 2020, we're doing things differently. We're kicking imposter syndrome in the expletive and relentlessly serving Jesus despite our feelings and despite life's inconsistencies.

This channel is going through a bit of a makeover so please don't mind the look lol! Uploads will vary wildly!! Sometimes I'll have an intro, sometimes I'll just go straight into the piece and go more in-depth in the description.

All depends on how the Holy Spirit leads. :)

This piece is about misconceptions of living a life with Christ. Some people think Christianity is comprised of roses and happiness and rainbows and godly love and community, free of problems and trials, but that's so not true.

Don't change your mind though, be encouraged! Jesus has overcome the world! This means that he faced what we're facing today, and he's with us through every second of it.

The piece stems from 2 Corinthians 12:5-10 and Psalm 23.

In 2 Corinthians 12, the thorn is much less a sinful reoccurrence than it is a human limitation. For example, the thorn is something that God can take away, but doesn’t because it helps to keep Paul humble AND is a reminder that God’s power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, a thorn can’t be a porn addiction or lying or stealing because God does not desire for those things to keep coming back. But the thorn can be physical or spiritual limitations, and in Paul’s case was presumed to be poor eyesight. Either way, it can be overcome without actually going away. Does that suck? Yes. But in short, the thorn is a good thing. A blessing in disguise, if you will.

*And yes, I’m reading the piece lol!
