When I got to college and assigned seating became a thing of the past I decided that I would sit in the back of the class. I wanted to see everyone in front of me and most importantly not answer questions from the prof.
I did this semi successfully (at both objectives) but I came across a video about sounds and how they travel. I soon found out that the way I had been sitting in class caused me to hear less words.
I took this information and found the semi-front of the classroom quite appealing.
