How to say FROM WHERE or WHERE FROM in Basque?
Nondik is a question word used to talk about moving from place to place or passing through a place. Other uses are also since X, by X, through X.
Let’s look at the declension of NONDIK:
•. For common singular nouns, you add: -(E)TIK to the end of the word
Example: etxeTIK, dendaTIK, ostegunETIK
• For common plural nouns, you add: -ETATIK
Example: etxeETATIK, dendaETATIK
And for Proper nouns?
•. Add -(E)TIK
Example: BoiseTIK, HendaiaTIK, Moses LakeTIK, GasteizETIK
•. And if the proper noun ends in -N or -L, then you can add -DIK.
Example: IrunDIK or IrunETIK or BrasilDIK or BrasilETIK.
