Hi guys!
Today I have made a delicious Panamanian dish called "Sao" also known as "Saus" depending on which part of the country you are from.
Some tips I have for you are:
1. This recipe is basically a freestyle one. Meaning that ALL of the amounts of ingredients, except for the pig feet, will depend on what your taste buds fancy.
With this being said, my best tip for you is to start off my adding your seasonings, hot sauce and vinegar a little at a time and then building up the flavour to your preference.
2. The longer you allow the Sao to marinate, the BETTER it will taste. When I make this dish, I prefer preparing it early in morning and then serving it for dinner with a nice tall glass of extra cold beer.
Ingredients:
5 Lbs of pork feet.
Water to cover your pork feet in the pressure cooker.
1 garlic head.
2 cucumbers.
2 medium size onions (any colour).
Salt.
Black pepper.
Oregano.
Hot sauce.
Vinegar.
1 cup of pork feet juice.
REMEMBER, every recipe can be modified, there is no one way of doing things AND cooking should always be enjoyable and CREATIVE! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I did making it for you!
