There are dolphins, and then there is 'Lumpy'. Although known to locals and visitors alike to be a very curious and interactive dolphin lady, Lumpy in her early 40s is taking it to another level.
This recent interaction on our swim with the dolphins tour (https://dolphindiscovery.com.au/tours...) was documented by Kathy, our experienced host. Lumpy approached in her usual friendly and curious way when she took a special interest in the camera. She can be seen gently notching and investigating it with her rostrum and jaw before continuing to see other swimmers.
Dolphins got good eyesight but are also using echolocation to get a clear image of objects that can be clearly heard in the video.
