The US's largest estuary (freshwater body that meets the ocean) has undergone a dramatic transformation. As time went on, the Chesapeake Bay became dumping ground for wastewater and pollution. So what can be done to try and reverse YEARS of accumulated damage?Using GIS technology, Martin O'Malley (the Governor of Maryland) created a plan to not only identify the impact of the pollution, but also to accurately track its sources.
