The top 12 from each preliminary round, plus two women if no women are among the top 12, advance to the semifinals. Featuring, among others... Sixth of seven preliminary rounds of season 6: 40 athletes face eight obstacles in a challenging course. The mix of familiar and new, never-before-seen obstacles delivers the kind of thrill only Ninja Warrior Germany can offer. In the new episodes, we witness incredible successes as well as tragic falls on the world's toughest course, which forgives no mistakes. Only the 12 best athletes from each preliminary round, plus two women (if no women are among the top 12), advance to the two semi-final shows in December.
All eight obstacles of the 6th preliminary round: Five Jump 2.0, Swinging Baskets, Swinging Beams, Tunnel Jump 2.0 to Ring Slide, Springboards, Sky Ladder, Pulley System, and the Wall or the Mega Wall.

Take Christian Balkheimer, aka "Super Mario Ninja" (28, from Leipheim), for example. He says, "If I make it past the third obstacle, I'll have achieved my relay goal – because just seven weeks ago I was in the hospital!" Christian belongs to a dwindling group of athletes who have participated in every episode since season one. He even got the go-ahead from the doctors to compete despite breaking his fibula after a botched trampoline jump. He underwent intensive rehabilitation beforehand. The question is: "Can I complete the course without injuring myself again?" We're keeping our fingers crossed for him.
This preliminary round's brotherly duel is between Daniel, aka Dima (24), and Igor Gerber (31, both from Ostfildern). The older brother had previously lost more than 30 kilos and, as a Ninja Warrior rookie, trained intensively with his brother at Christian Balkheimer's Freeground Academy. "Mentor" Balkheimer predicts: "Dima will clear the course today!" And Dima/Daniel says: "I hope my brother makes it to the Sky Ladder!"
Will this be "Simon Brunner's year"? The 24-year-old from Innsbruck is not only physically but also mentally fit thanks to a mental coach and has set his sights on reaching at least the Power Tower with good breathing technique and strong grip strength. "My biggest competitors are Daniel Gerber and David Eilenstein," says Simon.
Vincent Stenzel, aka "Vinnie Piano," from Klein Kussewitz, has amassed 419,000 followers on his YouTube channel of the same name. The trampoline athlete applied to Ninja Warrior at 17, "because I couldn't wait to finally be a part of it!" He finally turned 18 in March. Will he make it far here too? He reached the finals twice on "Big Bounce" and finished third in the second season. He's most apprehensive about the Sky Ladder: "I practiced that one first!"
