Bestselling author Denise Kiernan talks with writer and journalist Kim Ruehl about her new book, "A Singing Army: Zilphia Horton and the Highlander Folk School." It was a wide-ranging and uplifting conversation, which covered everything from music journalism to social activism. We also discussed what it was like to commit more than a decade to a single project, and then finally see it out in the world.
