3D Printed Wind-up Car with twins. Had a lots of fun printing and assembling this wonderful 3D printed wind-up car. The model was printed on my Tevo Tarantula. I printed it at 0.2mm layer height and 10% infill. Orange is ABS and yellow is PLA, so a hybrid model.
The car runs very slow and not too far with the spring that comes in the card. But the model has two additional springs one with thick wall and one with thin wall. We printed both but tried the thicker one first and it worked so well, that we haven't even bothered to try the thinner one.
Had to do a little filing, but overall the pieces fit very well. I guess it depends upon your 3D printer since we printed this a few years ago, the printer was not as dialed in. We had a hard time fitting the pieces together then.
But this build was fantastic. It even runs on carpet.
