How to easily boron treat a cube
Boron treating your cube makes the cube feel really soft and smooth, allowing you to turn fast effortlessly. It isn't that hard, as the materials are very easily attainable, and the procedure is immensely straightforward and will take less than an hour of your time.
Materials:
An unmagnetised black cube (highly recommended as you can peel off the stickers and your cube can be damaged if magnatised)
Two beakers
Two tablespoons of boric acid
100mL of acetone
A tablespoon
A paper blade
Tweezers
100mL of hot water
A piece of tissue
Method:
1. Pour around 100mL of acetone into one of the beakers
2. Pour around 100mL of hot water into the other beaker
3. Peel off the stickers on the cube with the paper blade
4. Take the cube apart (NOTE: Don't put any of the screws, centrepieces, and core into the acetone/water solution)
5. Put around one tablespoon of boric acid into the acetone solution, and then another tablespoon into the water solution
6. Mix the solutions using the tablespoon
7. Use the tweezer to pick up a piece
8. Stick the piece into the acetone solution for two seconds, then transfer the piece into the water solution
9. After the piece has been in the water solution for around 10 seconds, relocate the piece and rest it on the piece of tissue
10. Repeat until every corner and edge piece of the cube has undergone steps 8 and 9
11. Let the pieces dry for around 30 minutes
12. Apply the stickers onto the cube, put in some lube, and your cube is good to go!
