Tidal Model China Sea
Tidetech's China Sea Model - A 4km resolution 2D hydrodynamic tidal model, giving detailed tidal heights and tidal currents across the region.
This information represents the latest research into the tidal regime of the China Sea. This type of data has previously only available to the scientific community Tidetech is now working hard to make this type of information available to the wider marine community and this China Sea data fills a large gap in the availability of tidal data for the region.
The data has multiple applications, including speed and route optimisation for commercial shipping (to enable bunker savings and emission reduction), renewable energy studies and forecasting, offshore industry support, and pollution dispersal forecasting / tracking.
Black contours represent lines of equal tidal height, arrows represent tidal current direction and coloured shading denotes current speed, with red shading representing the strongest currents and blue shading the weakest.
