Actress Kim Tae-ri, who plays Yeon-hee, a college student from the class of '87, in the film "1987," attended a press conference for the film held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 13th and shared behind-the-scenes stories about her role.
Kim Tae-ri revealed, "I've been trying to go to Gwanghwamun Square every week whenever I can, but when I first went, I thought, 'Will going out there really change the world?'"
She continued, "At first, I was somewhat pessimistic, but as we filmed, it felt like the pessimistic flame in my heart, which I'd tried to avoid, was suddenly ignited." She added, "I was able to feel the hope that we, as a people, possess the power and energy to truly gather in this square and achieve something."
