How to Lookup a Value Between 2 numbers in Excel in Xlookup
This video is Part 4 of how to use X-lookup and we are looking at 2 extra features you may not know about – Match Mode and Search Mode. Match mode can help when you want to check if a number falls between a range, and return 1 value for each range. Search mode can help when you have duplicates in your data and want to return the last occurrence instead of the 1st occurrence.
These features work great if you want to review where someone falls in a range, to return 1 recommended result. For example, Performance review tables or Sales Quota attainment – you can check where someone’s actual result falls in comparison to a table, and return a specific recommendation.
