Girl in the World: Mississippi
Growing up downriver in Missouri, the Mississippi River was like a celebrity to me. I was proud of our native Samuel Clements, the James-Younger Gang, and this, the largest river in North America. It has been the inspiration for many songs, poems, books, and stories, and it makes me feel connected to my home.
