Summer may be winding down, but Mahali the hippo is still living his best life—especially when watermelon is involved! This food-loving hippo is always game for snack time, and food plays a large part of his enrichment and training. While Mahali wasn’t always a fan of watermelon, his amazing care team never gave up on trying new things with him. Thanks to their patience and trusting bonds, he’s officially a watermelon fan! Now, he can’t get enough of squishing and chomping away on this scrumptious snack. 🍉🦛
