Polysoude, as one of the world’s most advanced solutions providers for weld cladding of pipes and piping components, has been processing clad welding with special alloys into pipes for more than 30 years.
By using clad materials, the excellent strength and toughness of carbon-manganese steels are combined with the corrosion resistance of high-alloyed materials.
Combining two TIG electrodes to provide better heat to the weld overlay process, Polysoude’s TIGer system boasts deposition rates of up to 5.8 kg/hr. This represents an improved variant of TIG hot wire welding, “we combine two tungsten electrodes into the same torch creating a very specific arc. PolyClad Twin TIGer combines 2 torches to increase productivity and offer a single pass per pipes.
TIG is frequently chosen to increase productivity along with broadly accepted quality. Those industry segments, especially required to produce high-quality corrosion-resistant weld surfacing e.g. applying nickel-base filler materials, are regularly in constant demand to comply with "zero defect" criteria. In this conjunction, weld performance limitations are overcome employing advanced 'hot-wire' GTAW systems.

Note: The TIGer torch is equipped with two electrodes TIG - GTAW welding process. Each electrode is supplied with current by its own power source. The position of the electrodes (with the tips next to each other) generates a single arc, more powerful, more heat but with less pressure on the weld pool, perfect to reach incredible deposition rate with a single cold (CW) or hot wire (HW).
