All of the court case videos I created in chronological order from the beginning, covering the story highlights and court proceedings. When this story broke in 2019 it was all over the news, and it was nearly impossible to separate fact from fiction. In many ways, it still is. I made a number of videos covering the legal proceedings that surrounded Kristine and Michael Barnett who were accused of abandoning their Ukrainian adopted daughter Natalia Grace. They alleged that she was an adult with a rare form of dwarfism that fooled them into thinking she was a child. They legally changed her age in court and then put her in an apartment when they moved to Canada for their son's college education. They allege that she made threats of violence to them and their children, and tried to poison them. Natalia claims they manipulated her and the system in order to try to save face and get rid of her.
The state lost their cases against Kristine and Michael, but it's still not clear who was telling the truth. There are so many layers to this story it's hard to know where to start. Now that the ID documentary has come out, The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, a lot more questions have come up about the facts of this story.
Here is a compilation of the videos I made about the court case, from the beginning. The facts of the case were coming out constantly from every direction, and I did my best to sort out what seemed credible at the time. There were a few other videos responding to comments and other small parts of the story, but these are all of the main ones I made covering the story and court filings.
If Kristine and Michael are telling the truth, why didn't they try to find her a new home? Why didn't they sue the adoption agency? If Natalia is telling the truth, then why couldn't the state provide definitive evidence Kristine and Michael committed a crime? Why couldn't they prove that Natalia actually was a child?
