This song was a response to the challenge to write a song based on the film "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas". I had never seen the film, but rather than go to Wiki to read about the plot, I looked up the Track List of the Soundtrack and invented an entire story using just the titles of the songs found there.
LYRICS:
We met in that little whorehouse down in Texas
I never knew such places really exist
But a Watchdog Report said Texas sure had one
It was an opportunity that was not to be missed
You were born in a Lil' Ole country place, you told me
Your mama treated it like it was holy ground
Your Daddy was a no good parasite you said coldly
And your mama threw him out for sneaking round
We had our first shag out in the courtyard
Sidestepping all the horseshit in the dirt
I asked you if you'd accept my charge card
You told me that that question really hurt
I said I wasn't experienced as a swinger
I just didn't know what to do with my hands
See I'm only a little known country singer
With a beat up Martin and less than 20 fans
I sang you the Aggie Song that evening
The whole experience made me feel so blue
Then like a fool I turned to you as we were leaving
And blurted out "I will always love you!"
So now as I face another hard candy Christmas
I think back to that distant night when we met
The steamy heat heading up from the Panama isthmus
A night, I swear, I never will forget
And I will always love you...
CHORDS: G alternating with D for verses
Addition of C in the Bridge
