Discovering A Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL
June 7, 2024. While in Illinois, we happened to be not far from somewhere we hadn't been in around a decade- Metropolis, IL. Here they have a statue and a neat little shop dedicated to him, at least that's what we remembered, and had gotten a picture with a statue then. We decided to make the trip over to see it again, and discovered they have a Superman Celebration every year! We just wanted to see the statue and was surprised when there was cars and stuff everywhere 😂 It was cute, and we also came across a Lois Lane statue. One actor (who was in Batman 3 or something they told me) was a bit rude, but otherwise it was a decent time.
