Welcome to Episode 3 of my Networking Basics series!
In this video, we’ll learn how to configure Telnet access on a Cisco router using Packet Tracer. Telnet is an older remote-access protocol, and even though it’s not secure, it’s helpful for beginners learning basic router management.
What you’ll learn:
Basic Telnet concept
Setting a password for line VTY
Enabling Telnet access
Assigning IP addresses
Testing Telnet from another device
Packet Tracer is limited, but it’s very beginner-friendly — perfect for practicing simple labs like this.
