Symptoms of hypoactive sexual desire disorder in women include:
Having little or no desire in any type of sexual activity
The absence of sexual fantasies and thoughts
Heightened personal distress or difficulties in relationship due to the lack of sexual desire
About Ten percent of women are affected by HSDD

There are 2 Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved medications for improving symptoms of HSDD in premenopausal women:
Flibanserin (Addyi) is a daily pill taken at bedtime.
Bremelanotide (Vyleesi) is an injection that you give yourself under the skin at least 45 minutes before anticipated sexual activity.

Other off-label drugs can also be used to treat HSDD. These include:
Testosterone
Bupropion, which is an antidepressant, it may improve symptoms of low sex desire
Buspirone, which is a drug for anxiety disorder can increase sexual interest. Both bupropion and buspirone are especially helpful in HSDD associated with taking SSRI antidepressants.

Treatments to alleviate painful intercourse:
Vaginal moisturizers or lubricants
Topical estrogen, cream, suppositories, ring and tablet
Ospemifene (Osphena)
Prasterone (Intrarosa)
